David Finley - PresidentDavid Finley – President

Born in Philadelphia, David at age 10 moved to Phoenix, AZ and is an alumni of Phoenix College and Arizona State University.  During and after college, David worked in manufacturing and supply chain in the Phoenix/Tempe area for Ford Motor Company, Motorola, GE/Honeywell and US West Cellular.

David has over 20 years of healthcare experience beginning in 1990 as a sales representative for Kimberly-Clark (KC).  He was later promoted to National Accounts and was an early architect of the Kimberly-Clark Corporate Accounts strategy.  With KC, David also spearheaded a sales force automation program and was part of the management team that grew the company from $50 million in 1990 to a $1.5B multi-divisional enterprise today.

In 2000 David joined the sales leadership team of software/applications (“cloud”) provider Qwest Cyber Solutions (QCS), a joint venture between Qwest and KPMG to provide hosted/managed support of Tier 1 applications Oracle, Siebel, Peoplesoft, Ariba and SAP.

Upon the sale of QCS in 2002, David was recruited by Temecula, CA based Professional Hospital Supply (PHS), a regional med/surg distributor and national custom tray supplier.  He restructured sales and marketing to implement a performance-based model to help the company grow revenue from $268MM to almost a $1B today.

In 2005 David joined Tri-anim, the leading national specialty dealer for anesthesia and respiratory products to lead the acute care team and grow sales from $126MM to $168MM and position Tri-anim for a successful sale.

David has been with Premier, Inc (Nasdaq listed PINC) as a Vice President of Supplier Relations and Business Development since November 2007.  David has recently been providing consulting and negotiations support for Universal Health Services and Johns Hopkins Hospital and Health System, creating collaborative and strategic partnerships between the provider and supplier communities to further supply chain and patient care initiatives. David also provides sales leadership for Premier’s innovative and rapidly growing direct-sourcing Global S2S division.

David is a champion for diversity and inclusion, and serves as advisor to the Premier Supplier Diversity committee.  He has also been active in working closely with the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce to promote healthcare initiatives locally, including the 2013 inaugural Healthcare Summit.

David lives in Tega Cay, SC with his wife of 16 years Katherine, daughter Alexandra (15), and son Brandon (13).  As a family, they enjoy the Charleston area which they eventually plan to call home.

Tony Montione – VP

Anthony C. Montione is a 22-year veteran of the Investment Management Industry, and for the past eight years has worked for Wells Fargo Wealth Management in the Option Strategies Group (OSG) as a Senior Investment Research Analyst. His responsibilities include client strategy and business development for OSG, as well as the marketing and investment management of customized risk solutions for high net worth individuals, institutions, and charitable entities.  Prior to his current position, he served as a consultant to Evergreen Investment Management Company (“EIMCO” the asset management division of Wachovia) supporting the development and execution of risk management strategies for the mutual fund family.  His financial industry experience includes roles as Trader/Portfolio Manager in the Derivatives Strategy & Trading Group at TIAA-CREF (2003 – 2006), and portfolio manager for high net worth clients and institutional fixed income portfolios (1993-2003).

Mr. Montione has been living in the Charlotte area since 1999.  He received a BS in finance (1987) and an MBA in finance (1991) from Canisius College in Buffalo, New York, as well as a Certificate in International Business (1997) from Boston University, Brussels.

Fiorella Schmidt – Treasurer

Fiorella has been in the financial services industry for over 13 years.  Currently as a Market Leader and Small Business Specialist, she holds a variety of roles in Retail and Business Banking.

In addition to her current coverage of banking, she is leading the BB&T Regional Multicultural Committee for the Metrolina Region.

Grisel Fernandez – Secretary

Grisel was born and raised in Lima Peru.  At the age 17 she moved to New York  and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in International Marketing from Pace University in 1992.  She began her financial services career as a Personal Banker with Banco Mercantil de Venezuela in New York City in 1998. In 2000, she joined JPMorgan’s International Private Bank in New York City, where she worked for five years as VP as a Global Investment Specialist area. She moved her financial practice to Merrill Lynch, Charlotte in 2005 and in 2008 she joined Wells Fargo Advisors (formerly Wachovia Securities) in Charlotte, where she currently holds her Financial Advisor practice.  Grisel is a registered series 7, 31, 63 and 65 advisor. Grisel has over 15 years within the financial services industry and is dedicated to helping individuals meet their financial needs by developing investment plans around their long-term goals and risk tolerance.
