Daniel Araujo – Executive Director

Daniel Araujo is Executive Director of Creative Player Sports Foundation. Daniel is a former professional soccer player from Montevideo, Uruguay of South America where he played for first division Central Espanol FC. Daniel also played for Deportivo Pasto (Colombia) and Adet FC (El Salvador). Daniel finished his professional career playing in the United States for the Connecticut Wolves of the USL – A League. Daniel now serves as Technical Director and curriculum specialist for Creative Player DMAC Futbol a leading youth development soccer learning system featuring dynamic movement and coordination for the modern game.

Daniel is an active community leader in the Charlotte area serving on the boards of the Latin American Chamber of Commerce, Harris YMCA and Communities in Schools.  Daniel also serves on  Johnson C. Smith University’s External Multicultural Advisory Council and as Vice Chair of the Latin American Chamber of Commerce Foundation, serving on the Economic Development Committee. Daniel also served as Director of Soccer Operations for Puntarenas FC, first division professional club in Costa Rica in addition to representing professional players through Competitive Sports Consulting.

John Pietak is the Education Director for Creative Player Sports Foundation. He is recognized as a leader and innovator in youth sport education by developing age-appropriate coaching philosophy, methodology, and curriculum through the Creative Player Coaching Vision. John received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Physical Education from Catawba College and a Masters of Arts Degree in Education from Columbia International University.

As a soccer player, John received national recognition for his creative attacking style of play as a high school All-American and state champion at Greece Arcadia High School in Rochester, NY and as a three-time NAIA All-American at Catawba College in Salisbury, NC. John has extensive experience coaching youth soccer players at every level and age. He is best known for his passion for teaching and player development serving as technical director for Charlotte area clubs and athletic associations.
